My cat recently got an injection against poison (we saw the vet and she said that he should be fine) and he drinks water, purrs and goes around by himself.I gave him some "Friskies wet food - salmon & tuna". is there anything else that I can give him to eat except chicken? Please answer ASAP!

Without knowing what specific poison Kiki was exposed to it's impossible to give specific advice but I'm happy your vet thought he would be fine! It is important to make sure he is eating and drinking with no vomiting or lethargy that could indicate symptoms of poisoning. You can mix a little water in with his wet food to encourage more water consumption. Continue feeding canned cat food as this is the most nutritious option (better than chicken). Hope this helps!

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I am sorry to hear Kiki ate a poison and is still not better. Personally I think at this stage it is just important to get Kiki to eat. We have Friskies and Whiskas in the US. Cats can't go too long with out eating or they can get sicker. Yes, do try either of those canned cat food brand and once he starts eating well get him back on his old diet. You can also call your Vet and see if they can recommend an appetite stimulant if he won't eat the canned food either. Good luck!
