Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Miniature Schnauzer | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 11 months old | 18 lbs

Hi there we have a mini schnauzer prone to eating anything on the floor. He had some semi firm poo this morning but tonight he vomited mostly white foamish substance and liquid poo squirting out he loves eating but only had some water tonight not wanting to eat. He did shiver abit earlier but not anymore gums looks fine in thinking it might just be an upset stomach or diarrhea any reason we should rush to vet?

Hello there. I am sorry the Gustuf is not feeling well. I recommend taking him to the veterinarian as soon as you can. He could have an upset stomach, but he could have something more serious, like pancreatitis or infection. They may need to take some bloodwork or x-rays to determine the cause of his sickness. Hope this helps!

These signs could be compatible with an inflammation infection of the gastrointestinal system and surrounding organs (like pancreas and liver). A clinical examination at your local veterinarian is immediately essential to confirm these clinical suspicions and treat appropriately. Antibiotics and possibly further investigations (like abdominal imaging as ultrasound or radiographs) may be needed. Hope this answer was helpful, but please do not hesitate to contact us again on the forum or by requesting a consultation if you have any more questions or to discuss it any further.
