Boerboel puppy has loose skin & curved front legs. Should I worry?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mastiff | Female | unspayed | 1 month and 18 days old | 20 lbs

Hi I'm looking at buying this 9wk old Boerboel puppy from a registered breeder. Should I be concerned about the loose fold of skin on rear bottom under tail. And is it normal for a puppy to have such curved angulation on front legs would she grow out of it. Thanks in advance B

The skin fold could be completely normal and I would not be worried abut it, but the front legs deviation can be the sign of an underlying elbow or forearm bones problem and ideally a vet check should be performed before buying her.
