I found a baby bird. How do I identify it and what should I feed it?

Greetings! Over a month a ago, I rescued a bird and have been nurturing it ever since. A representative at petco let me know that I can come here to ask about what type of bird t may be/ what I can feed it, because he did not know (I showed him pictures). Is this the right place to obtain information? Please let me know. Thank you. (I have attached photos of when the bird was small to today). Pet's info: Bird | Unknown - Bird | Male | unneutered

The best solution would be to contact a local wildlife rehabilitator. One in your area specializing in avians should be able to identify it. The bird looks to be healthy, so you've been doing a good job. The rehabber can confirm this then let you know when the bird can be released. Search online, contact a local veterinary clinic or check the California Department of Fish and Wildlife website to find a rehabilitator.
