My dog is peeing blood after moving to a new house. Could it be stress?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Boxer | Female | spayed | 6 years and 8 months old | 91 lbs

So I just moved my boxer of almost 7 years from WV to SC. There's also a 9 yr. old boxer living at my new house. So new people, new surroundings, and new dogs. I've noticed she may have blood in urine. Could it be from stress?

Poor DazyMay! Stress should not cause bloody urine in dogs, so I would be concerned that she probably has a medical issue causing this, such as a urinary tract infection or bladder stones. I would recommend taking her to the vet when you can to have this checked - he/she can do a urinalysis as well as x-rays or ultrasound of her bladder if needed to help determine the problem and get her started on appropriate treatment.
