My new puppy gets carsick. What can I give a 9-week-old?

Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund miniature | Female | spayed | 1 month and 20 days old | 10 lbs

Hello. We are picking up our new puppy next week (a miniature dachshund) who is a few states away. It will be a 6 hour drive home and I'm worried about her feeling carsick the whole way home, etc. is there anything safe I can give her (she will only be 9 weeks and about 2-3 pounds) to help her if she seems distressed/sick?

I would not recommend you give anything. She will be too small to take any over the counter medications. She will likely be just fine. The best thing to do is to put her in a kennel and let her sleep. If you guys are getting her overly excited and you let her run around the vehicle you have a higher chance that she will get sick. If she does get sick just clean it up and keep her calm and quiet. While giving an oral product is not recommended you could use a calming spray to apply to the bedding/kennel. http://www.entirelypets.com/adaptil-dap-spray-20-ml.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI4-TNyv-Y1QIVCVgNCh1msQUcEAQYAyABEgIfXfD_BwE I hope this helps. Best wishes!
