My dog has a small white bump/ maybe wart on the bottom of her lip? Any idea what it is or the best way to handle it?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Based on your picture and Rio's age it looks like a papilloma. It is virally induce and contagious. Most dogs get it from doggie day care or other close interactions with other dogs. Usually they spontaneously regress. Sometimes I'll crush them in the office and put the dog on a 10 day course of Azithrimycin.

Hi, this appears to be just a random wart. There is no cause, but some dogs will get them. There is nothing to do to treat it, only monitor it for redness, swelling or it getting bigger. If you see any of these, take her to a vet to get it tested. Cancer is unlikely due to her age, but in rare cases can happen. Good luck I hope this helps!
