My AKC dog is big, is he purebred? Vet school requirements & years?

Pet's info: Dog | Boston Terrier | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 10 months old | 40 lbs

We got tux from a breeder we saw the parents who were both small and we expected him to be small also both parents are AKC Do you think he is a purebred? And I want want to be a vet what college classes would I have to take and how many years

I think Tux looks like a Boston, and if both parents were AKC registered and he is as well, that's the definition of purebred. Some dogs can be outside the breed standard even if they are purebred (i.e. too large or small). Veterinary school is four years and a bachelors degree is usually required.     He does look pure, and he must be if both parents were KC and he is KC registeted. If you want to be a vet you should do a lot of research as it is very competitive and hard work. Youll need to focus on science at school, then do bachelor of science degree followed by a 4 year vet degree.
