My cat is throwing up, not eating, has anal swelling and gas. What's wrong?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | unspayed

To add to my previous question, she's also throwing up and had a bit of swelling to her anus earlier in the day along with her gas and slimness. She still has moments where she's very active and seems to be alert and very playful. She doesn't show any other behavioral problems besides sleeping more often and not eating or drinking.

Unfortunately we are not able to see your previous question linked to this one. But a cat who is not eating or drinking and vomiting should have a veterinary exam. This could be anything from parasites, viral infection or GI obstruction. I hope Friday feels better soon
