My cat's rectum is protruding. What can I do if I can't afford a vet?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | 4 years and 2 months old | 5 lbs

My cats rectum is pertruding and i dont really have money for a vet bill, can i very carefully reinsert it maybe with lubricant. Then buy any kind of apertrudingor anything like that for her at the store she did give birth 2 months ago and had diarrhea before it came out. What do i do?

If your cat has a prolapsed rectum it needs to be reinserted. If you do this at home it will likely come right back out. Typically these need to be reinserted under anesthesia and a purse string suture placed around the rectum to keep it in. I wish there was more you could do at home but unfortunately this is one of those things that needs to be done by a vet. Good luck.
