Sphynx cat has red bumps & vomiting after new food. Is it an allergy?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Sphynx | Female | spayed | 1 year and 4 months old

Hairless Sphnix cat has small red dots and bumps just along the back. Nothing on rest of the body. No sign of fleas - changed food brand about the same time dots appeared. Cat has vomited once a day since new food - thought she was just eating to much. Seems in good health othwise

Pixie could be having an allergic reaction but an early skin infection is also possible. If more bumps appear, or these do not go away with using a mild shampoo bath, I recommend she get checked out by her veterinarian as she may need antibiotics for an infection.
