Is 24 hours of fluid therapy enough for my pet after surgery?

This is a follow up to the answer by Lauren Barry. Many thansk for your advice. Would you say 24 hours fluid therapy is sufficient in any situation after quick surgery

If we are talking about a basic, elective, uncomplicated surgery, many times no additional fluid therapy is required post-operatively. In non-elective procedures or procedures that were performed on sick animals, sometimes several days of fluids are required. There is no simple answer to your question unfortunately as a result.
