My dog got cat flea meds. Do I need a vet for natural oils?

Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Female | unspayed | 1 year old | 4.5 lbs

Do I need to take my dog to a vet if I accidentally used my cats flea med on my dog. The ingredients are as follow: Active Ingredients are Peppermint Oil 10%, Clove Oil 7%, Lemon Grass Oil 3%, and other ingredients are canola oil, vanillin, citric acid 80% Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

In general, products that are labeled for cats are usually quite safe for dogs, as cats are much more sensitive to chemicals overall. As long as Duchess is in the same general weight range as your cat, I would not expect this to cause any problems. If she is acting normal, it should be okay to just monitor her at home. Possible signs of toxicity would include muscle tremors, lethargy, or seizures. If you see anything that concerns you, it's always an option to see an emergency vet to be safe.
