It sounds like her heart is struggling to beat properly or having to work very hard to get blood around the body. What you are hearing could be a murmur or arrhythmia. I would take her to the vet now to have this checked out, it is not good if you can noticeably hear an issue with the heart without a stethescope. Try and keep her calm and go to the vet asap.

Without being able to auscult Winter's heart I am unable to tell you if this description of her heart beat is normal or not. If she has recently been out exercising or excited her heart will beat faster than at rest. You can check her heart rate by counting how many beats you feel/hear in one minute. In a normal dog at home, relaxed, the heart rate should not be above 120 beats per minute. If her rate is higher than this, her gum color is bluish (as opposed to pink) or you feel like it sounds abnormal I would recommend having her checked out by your vet.
