Sorry, my answer was cut off. That will arouse Bruno's territorial instincts to protect his area and will likely cause problems with the new puppy. Instead, take both the dogs to a neutral location where neither has ever been and introduce them there. That way, Bruno will be bringing his new buddy home instead of resenting him as an intruder. if you need further help with this, Just click on the prompt to initiate a consult. Good luck!

If your dog is generally good with other dogs, you should be safe in getting a second one. It is best if Bruno is neutered, and that your net dog is a female. Two males, even if neutered, can sometimes have difficulty getting along. DO not bring your new puppy right into the house with Bruno there!

It all depends on how well Danny behaves and how territorial he is. Some dogs will not tolerate the addition of a new puppy to the household. If he is well trained and will play well with a puppy then it may work out. Here are a couple of articles that may help you decide. http://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&S=0&C=0&A=1678 http://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&S=0&C=0&A=2465
