Why does my rescued cat have gray, peeling skin spots with no hair?

Hi I found A little cat in the street full of wounds,  I took her and raised her until she became healthy but there is gray spots on her skin the does not grow hair and it continue to peel of. Please help im Afraid

If this gray area is in the area where the cat had a wound then it is probably just a scar and can be considered completely normal. If this is not in the same area of her wounds, there is some other cause of hair loss and she will need to be checked out by your vet. I'm glad you found this kitty and have taken such good care of him!

    Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Richard is so lucky to have you! My concern is that he may have ring worm, which is a fungus. It is contagious to other animals and people. Other causes are skin mites. I recommend taking Richard to the Vet, they can send hair and skin samples out to eh lab for culture. The results can take several weeks. They can also skin scrape his skin and look under the microscope to check for mites. There may be other skin conditions in your country that I am not aware of too.
