My cat licks wax from cheese wrappers. Is it bad for his health?

My cat is a young male and goes to great lengths to groom himself with wax. He does this by finding wax normally by digging through the trash for wax cheese wrappers then he'll rub his teeth against the wax and lick it whilst grooming himself. My mom's 2 cats don't do this, I'd just really like to know if this is something that could be bad for his health or not. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 20 lbs
