My cat has Revolution. What immediate tick protection can I use?

We have been giving our cat Revolution and just realized it doesn't cover ticks. We just have him his monthly dose too! Is there any supplemental product we can give for ticks today/or this month?

You are correct, revolution will not kill ticks and is only effective against fleas, heartworm,intestinal roundworm, hookworm and ear mites. If ticks are a threat in your area than a product containing fipronil (frontline spray) can be used after 10-14days When next treatment is due, discuss broader treatments with your vet including broadline (ticks, fleas and worms) spot on or using separate internal and external parasite preventions to treat fleas/ticks and worms separately to ensure all risks are covered
