Why is my young rescue dog getting gray hair? Is it from anxiety?

I have had my two year old rescue for three weeks (long haired standard Dachsund). He did not have any gray hair when we got him. How gray hairs are sprouting all along his back. He is very scared of humans and going on walks outside. Is he going gray from anxiety? Should this be a concern? Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund | Male | neutered | 2 years and 3 months old | 30 lbs

Different animals gray at different rates, and some can definitely start going gray at a pretty young age! The gray hairs are not of concern, and likely Simon's anxiety is not a factor in his graying.
