My dog growls and jumps aggressively. How can I stop this behavior?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 2 years and 3 months old | 14 lbs

My dog is very aggressive, we tried to get her groomed today at and she was too aggressive to the groomers. She will not let any of my family go by me if she is there other wise she will growl. She also does this in the hallway, if anyone goes in the hallway she will growl and jump. Is there anything I can do to stop this aggression.

At this point, I think you need to have a professional trainer/behaviorist examine your dog and try to come up with a training plan. That is very concerning that she is aggressive and I think you need some professional help before someone in your family is injured. Call your vet and see if he/she can recommend a good trainer in your area.
