My obese dog has weak legs from pancreatitis. How can I help him walk?

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | neutered | 4 years old | 108 lbs

Brought my dog home from 3 day stay at vet for pancreatitis, of course he has meds and low fat diet, hes a bit obese at 108 lbs. my concern is control of his legs under him, i have wood floors but even on the rug he is having a hard time with strength to walk.

You can use a large towel or sheet slung under him to provide additional support while walking until he loses weight and gains strength and stability. Dog booties with a rough tread/sole may also provide more traction. They should be removed periodically though to give him a break and to allow his paws to air out.
