My cat is stumbling like she's drunk and sleeping in the litter box.

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 12 years and 6 months old | 8 lbs

My cat is about 12 years old. She was been acting strange all day. She won't stop walking around she acts like she is drunk ( stumbling and falling over) and will only lay down in the litterbox.

This wobbly gait is called ataxia. It can be caused by trauma, neurological disorders, endocrine imbalances, nutritional deficiency or infection. Sister should be examined by your veterinarian to diagnose illness or injury. Bloodwork (CBC, chemistry/thyroid panels, urinalysis) and x-rays may be indicated after a physical exam.
