My dog's collar embedded in his neck. Should I take him to the vet?

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 3 months old | 78.8 lbs

Emergency!!! Basically I left Spring with one of my tenents for 2 months I gave them £100 for food for Spring and £90 for them I came home and he was tied in there garden they said he kept getting loose he's in really bad condition they tied him so tight the collar embedded in his neck my dad had to hold him while I cut the collar free I've shaved his neck and cleaned the wound with chlorohexidine and bandaged it will this be enough

Hi, I'm Dr. Johnson. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Spring!!! I think he needs stitches. I'd bring him to your Veterinarian at a minimum for antibiotics and have him looked at for possible other health issues from neglect. I am so sorry you are going through this.
