Hi, I'm Dr. Johnson. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Everything you listed in your post are signs of an ear infection in a dog. The redness, swelling and blisters indicate inflammation and is likely painful. Coconut oil has many great properties but it will not clear a bacterial or yeast ear infection both of which are commonly found in ear infections. If you are using a home remedy for an ear cleaner that can sometimes cause more irritation with in the ear canal. I recommend that you take your dog to the Vet so they can look at the discharge under the microscope and confirm what type of ear infection he has. Then they will prescribe an appropriate ear wash and drops that will get rid of the infection. Good luck!
