My guinea pig's ear smells bad. Is it an infection? What to do?

My sister used to work at Petco in Soldotna A.K.. she said my guinea pig Fluff has an infected ear. I don't know if she means a ear infection or infected ear. He's about to a year and seven months. The ear smells and looks a very disgusted inside. How dangerous is it for a guinea pig? And how do I get a rid of it? is there anything I can put on it or do too it that would help?

I would assume your sister meant an ear infection inside the ear, but I cannot be sure without seeing it. The best thing to do is take in your pet to your veterinarian-ear infections will require prescription antibiotics to clear up, and can become quite serious and painful for Fluff if it isn't treated soon and properly. I hope this helps!
