My poor pup started to vomit last night with mostly solid materials. But earlier this morning he vomitted fluids and smells fishy. How can I treat him with remedies ready at home?

Sometimes, vomiting can be managed by withholding food for 24 hours. Allow small amounts of water or an unflavored electrolyte replacement fluid. Resume feeding a bland diet in small, frequent amounts. Begin with one tablespoon and gradually increase the amount if there is no vomiting. After 24-48 hours without vomiting, you can transition slowly to the regular diet. If the vomiting persists or if Chowder develops lethargy, diarrhea, loss of appetite or abdominal pain then you will need to have him seen by your veterinarian.
