My cat has a growing lump on her head. Is it a skin tag or worse?

I'm taking my cat to the vet but was hoping for any insight about a small lump on my cats head. I thought it was a skin tag. It appeared about a month ago but it seems to have gotten a little bigger within the last few days. Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 14 years and 2 months old | 13 lbs

It has a similar appearance of an adenoma or a cyst. There is no way to know what it is for sure without removal and histopathology. That fact you are getting it tested while small, is the best to ensure all of it gets removed
