Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 1 month old | 10 lbs
My cat( unfixed male,13 months) has fleas on head and neck. When his neck/head are wiped with a damp cloth they are bloody. There are linear raised scabs on top of his head (mostly). My question is which would be the better/safer treatment for fleas in this case?: -a traditional flea collar, even though it would contact bloody area of neck(I have one with Tetrachlorvinphos and (S)-Methoprene) -or a monthly topical treatment like Advantage II? Thank you. Alan

Hi Alan. I prefer topical like Advantage multi or revolution for cats because they tend to last longer and be more effective. There are also medications available orally like cap star and comfort is for felines! Hope this helps!
