My senior Pomeranian has a swollen, painful testicle and won't eat. Help!

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Male | 7 lbs

My 16 year old male Pomeranian suddenly has a swollen right testicle that seems to hurt him when it's touched. He twitches a bit every now and then, he's reluctant to walk or move around, he has his legs crossed (which I assume is from the pain or discomfort, or just hiding his testicles), seems to be more tired, and he refuses to eat.

I would take Hammer to the veterinarian as soon as you can. He may have a mass or infection in his testicles, or one may be twisted within the scrotum which is extremely painful. He may need to be neutered if there is a problem.
