Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 6 days old | 0 lbs
I have a 6 day old lab puppy that is doing some strange things. He is eating just fine and is about the same size as the others. When he is eating or laying with the other puppies he spirals turning over and over. He is very vocal and the mother is starting to disassociate with him. He is latching onto a nipple okay. If I pick him up and hold him tight he seems to calm down. He does sleep, but not for long. This started last night.

It sounds like this puppy could have a neurologic problem. Typically when puppies are placed on their backs they are able to right themselves, so if he is continuously rolling this could mean that he has a problem with brain development. Some infections or trauma would also be possible. I would recommend having him seen by a veterinarian who could check all of his reflexes. You should also monitor his weight at least twice daily - even though it seems like he is eating well he may not be getting as much as you think and may need to be supplemented with milk replacer. Good luck!

This sounds like your puppy may be having seizure like activity. Do you know if he's been injured? Sometimes the mothers can accidentally harm one moving them around or by sitting on them. I would take him to your local vet as soon as you can for a full neurological exam. Hope this helps.
