Why does my kitten have green diarrhea with white rice-like things?

My kitten is having very loose stool which is light green in colour and has some white colored rice like thing in the poop... What's wrong with my little kitten? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | 13 days old

Hi, I'm Dr. Johnson. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I'll first off stating I am in the US and I see you are in India. There are geographical differences in common parasites found in dogs and cats. It is possible that the diarrhea Kunnu is having is from intestinal parasites. If you aren't feeding actual white rice to him then the white objects you are seeing could be a parasite. Kunnu is quite young and the life cycle of parasites are different so it is possible that he has a tape worm infection. If Kunnu is eating, drinking and acting normal I recommend that you call your Veterinarian and see if you can drop off a stool sample, but make sure you put some of the rice looking pieces in with the stool. That way they can test the stool and the segments to see if they are indeed parasites. if he not feeling well I would have him looked at by the Veterinarian. Young babies can get dehydrated very quickly. Good luck!
