Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Male | neutered | 2 months old | 17 lbs
My pugs nose seems to dry up easily then goes back to being wet? Doesn't have a fever. Drinks plenty of water.

That is perfectly normal. The sayings about a dog's nose are old wives tales. They will have wet noses after drinking or licking their nose and dry the rest of the time. You only need to be concerned if the nose seems excessively dry, cracked or painful.

Hi there. Pug noses are notoriously drier than most other breeds (besides other brachycephalic or "flat faced" breeds) because of the anatomy and how they take in air. They also are more prone to keratin formation (warty thick looking skin on the nose). Hope this helps!
