Why is my dog scared, hiding, won't leave room, and won't eat?

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | unspayed | 6 years and 3 months old

My dogs name is chiquita shes 7yrs old Shes a health dog for her age and has all her vaccines. My dog keeps running away from something and wont leave my room unless I go out with her. She wont eat because shes to scared to step out the room unless me or my mom are with her. Whenever she does go out alone she hides under tables or chairs looking straight ahead at something what should i do

Hi, sorry you are having this problem with Chiquita. Sometimes dogs exhibiting this behavior are in some kind of pain. the not eating is concerning that she may have a health issue as well. I would take her to the vet and have a check up to make sure nothing is wrong with her, If she is healthy, you can try using treats to coax her out of your room. It is possible something happened to her that scared her or caused her pain and it will take some time for her to get over it. Be gentle and patient and go slow with her to show her that there is nothing to be afraid of. If you bring her food to her and she won't eat, she will need to see a vet. Good luck, I hope this help!
