Why is my senior dog vomiting repeatedly but seems fine sometimes?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 15 years and 10 months old | 5 lbs

I have a 16yr old Malrese Shirzu and the night before last she vomited all night and tonight she has started agaiin. She has vomited 4 times tonight but seemed fine today.

Oh no, poor Jessica! I would have her seen by a vet for this today, as in a senior dog this vomiting could have series causes such as liver failure, kidney failure, diabetes, and cancer among other causes. It sounds like she has vomited a fair amount over this 24 hour period, and when a dog vomits a lot, it's time to see the vet. Please take her into one today.

    It sounds as jesssica is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material or due to an internal disease such as kidney failure. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.
