My dog yelped and walks backwards strangely after shaking off water.

My dog came out of water and shook her body. After this she yelped and she started walking backwards in a strange stance. Her back end was crouched down as she went backwards. No obvious sign of injury and shes walked slowly home. Pet's info: Dog | English Springer Spaniel | Female | spayed | 3 years and 8 months old

She may have sprained a muscle in her back during her shaking episode. Monitor her for the next 24 hrs with strict limited activity and if she is still not getting better then a vet visit is best to have her back examined. If a sprain is the likely diagnosis then a short course of anti-inflammatory/ pain medicaiton can help her vet better. Best wishes with Poppy and her pain. I hope she feed better soon. Take care
