My wolf isn't eating, has porcupine quills in mouth. How to remove?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Exotic | Unknown - Exotic | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 28 days old | 65 lbs

We don't know if this is possible or not for Erza, but she isn't eating and when she chews on her toys there's sharp prickly things that look like porcupine quills. If she does have them in her mouth we don't know how she got them since she's and inside wolf except for when we take them on walks. How do I know for sure if she does, and how would I get them out?

Whatever is in Ezra's mouth it sounds like it needs to be removed. In most cases sedation is required to remove things that are stuck in the mouth without being bitten. If you have already attempted to remove the objects and were unsuccessful sedation is probably necessary. Once they are removed you should be able to tell whether or not they are porcupine quills based on appearance. I would recommend taking her to a veterinarian - if you do not have a veterinarian already you may need to call around to find a veterinarian who will see wolves in your area.
