My Doberman vomited blood and bile. Is this a serious emergency?

Hello. I have a 2 1/2 year old Doberman. I woke up this morning to 4 small puddles of vomit with grains of digested dog food but otherwise clear. He started regurgitating so we went outside. He vomited yellow bile 3 times then the 4th time produced only about 1 sq inch of foamy blood...that was approx. 40 mins ago. He doesn't seem to be in pain, his gums are bright pink and I got him to take a treat and drink water. He is my baby and I'm freaking out. Should I be panicking?

If he seems bright it may just be a mild case of gastroenteritis. I would try withholding food for the rest of the day. If the vomiting doesn't settle it would be best to go to the vet just in case something else is going on.
