Pet's info: Dog | Australian Cattle Dog | Male | neutered | 11 years old | 50 lbs
My 11 yr old dog vomited after eating a lot of hot dog treats all day. We put him on a bland diet and stopped treats for a day. We started him back on his food and he had a few treats stretched over a day. Today he rec'd a treat and then vomited and there was a few dots of blood in the vomit. He looks perky otherwise but has been sleeping a lot and been especially loving looking for attention like never before. We had him at the vet because we saw fatty stomach tumours. Told healthy for age.

I would recommend taking him back to the vet if he is still vomiting. Those type of treat are very high in fats and salts. This could lead to sever gastrointestinal upset or even pancreatitis. Most patients will need medications to help stop the vomiting if the stomach has become very inflamed. I would recommend a bland diet of boiled chicken and white rice for at least 24 hours and staying away from high fat dog treats.
