Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | 16 years and 6 months old | 15 lbs

My dog is 16 years old he has enlarged nipples and what seems like a very large hard stone in his balls oh plus hair loss! I think he's old to muck around with? You? He eats well and dose not seem in pain he even runs!

Hi, This is Dr. Johnson. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Mickel is a very cute guy! My biggest concern for an intact older male dog with enlarged nipples and hair loss is a testicular tumor that is producing hormones. The hair loss could be from other things (a mite, a skin infection, etc). My recommendation is that Mickel see your Veterinarian to confirm and consider having him neutered. I wish you and Mickel the best!
