My Shih tzu is constipated horribly. She has been trying to poop for hours and there is a piece that is stuck halfway in and half way out but will not budge. What do I do? She has lost all of her energy! Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Female | unspayed | 1 month and 14 days old | 1lb

I would recommend taking Bella to veterinarian. They may be able to remove the feces or she may need an enema to help pass the stool. Intestinal parasites can occasionally cause constipation or if she is on a milk replacer this is sometimes the culprit, and the veterinarian may recommend a fecal analysis or other tests. If you have already tried to gently remove the stool and are unable I don't think there is much else you can safely do at home.
