What's causing my dog's swollen foot: allergy, infection, or mass?

Is this an allergic reaction to something or an that infection and what can cause this. Pet's info: Dog | English Bulldog | Male | 5 years and 9 months old | 48 lbs

Hi, I'm Dr. Johnson. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Romeo! That foot looks serious! I don't think it's an allergic reaction. It could be an infectionthough. I am more concerned that it could be a mass. I recommend you see your Veterinarian. They may need to aspirated (stick a needle in to the area to remove cells) and send the slides to the lab.
