My dog has pancreatitis & diabetes, but won't eat. Is this normal?

2 days ago I took my pet dog to vets very unwell. Diagnosed pancreatitis and also diabetic, gave fluids for 24hrs and insulin every 12 hrs also anti biotics twice a day seems to have improved but will not eat. Is this normal. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 65 lbs

Hi, so sorry to hear that Sasha is not feeling well. Pancreatitis and diabetes are bad diseases to have by themselves. If she has both together that is not a good sign. You cannot expect her to be back to normal in such little time. I would not expect her to be back to 100% after only 24-26 hours of treatment. So, yes, it can be normal. If the diabetes is due to the pancreatitis it may resolve once the pancreatitis is under control.
