My Chinese algae eater turned golden. Is this color change normal?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Fish | Unknown - Fish | Male | unneutered

My Chinese algae eater was more of a brown color, but now he is more golden looking. Everything seems normal about him, but should I worry about the color change?

Most of the time this is related to stress and absence of ''hiding places'' or inappropriate size of the tank. Otherwise could be completely normal. Please do not hesitate to contact us again on the forum or by requesting a consultation if you have any more questions or to discuss it any further.
