My Lab's feet turn in, back end sways, no pain. Hip dysplasia?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | spayed | 60 lbs

3yr old Labrador stands and walks with her back feet pointing inwards and her back end goes left to right ? No pain or lameness though could this be hip dysplaysia ?

It is possible Pixie has hip dysplasia. Typically dogs will show signs of hip dysplasia on x-rays once they are two years old. I would recommend taking Pixie to a vet and having x-rays of the hips to evaluate if dysplasia is present. It is possible that Pixie does not have hip dysplasia and just has this type of gait.
