Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered
My cat Littlefoot is 20 yrs old. I'm about to move to a new apt that does not allow pets, but I'm wondering if it's time to put him down. He's heathy enough, doesn't seem unhappy. But he's had 2 strokes in the last 3 years, goes into very deep, twitchy sleeps, and has been become harder to get to eat. He cries a lot, and I know he's in at least some stage of renal failure, tho it hasn't become an issue for him it seems. I'm worried not being able to bring him with me is making the choice 4 me.

This is a very difficult decision but moving such an elderly and infirm cat would not be advisable and could precipitate progression of kidney disease. Euthanasia is a very valid option in this case and will ensure he does not suffer from any stress or upheaval
