My pitbull has a head lump after an accident. Tumor or abscess?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Male | unneutered | 75 lbs

My son's pitbull was hit by a car back in april...his hind leg was scint no xrays were taken. Then a month his head looked woopsided ..we took him to the same vet and they have him a steroid injection. At first it seemed to be improving but now it's woopsided..the lump is noticeable on one sid3 of his head. Do you think it's a tumor??

Hi there. It could be a tumor-but it could also be an abscess, a lymph node, etc. if you could upload a picture it would be very helpful to let us see exactly where the lump is located and the size of it. We can help more from there!
