My cat has a painless lump on her belly. Is it serious or vaccine related?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 2 years and 2 months old

Today I was rubbing my cat's belly and i felt a projection like a coin under her skin.it's attached under her skin not her flesh.she was vaccinated 10 days ago and I think it's the same place where doctor injected her but not sure.is it serious?I'm so worried.and I think it doesn't hurt because when I press it she doesn't show any sign of pain

Cats typically do not receive vaccines on their belly, they are given over the shoulders on their back; therefore, I do not think this mass you felt is due to her vaccines. It could be that Lucy has a benign tumor, cyst, abscess, or a malignant tumor (unlikely in a young cat) causing the lump, and I would have her seen by a vet for it. The vet can examine and diagnose it, and let you know if any treatment is needed.
