My dog ate a Benebone piece. Should I wait to see the vet or go now?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 2 years and 5 months old | 40 lbs

my dog broke off a chunk of her benebone and i can't find it. I'm afraid she may have swallowed it. should i take her to the vet, or wait to see if she has any adverse effects?

If Stormy swallowed a piece of this non-digestible bone it has the potential to cause an obstruction, either in the stomach or in the GI tract. If this occurs you will notice Stormy not wanting to eat and vomiting and diarrhea. I think it should be safe to wait and see if she exhibits any of these symptoms before taking her to the vet. However, if it would give you some piece of mind you could have her checked out and have done X-rays performed.
