My Toy Poodle is depressed after shaving. When will hair grow & how to help?

Hi. My Toy Poodle puppy just got his first shave. He is quite depressed now. He keeps running around and hiding screaming, keeps his head low, changes places to sleep everytime, bites and licks his paw. Can you tell me when a toy poodle's hair will start to grow? and how to take care of him at this depressing time?

This is very common behavior in dogs who have been shaved, especially if it is their first time. It may take Chip a couple of days to get used to his new coat and then he should settle down. Typically the hair will regrow in about 4 months.
