Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Female | unspayed | 4 months and 4 days old | 2.5 lbs
I don't know if my 4 month old Pomeranian has a ear infection. She keeps scratching and sometimes when she scratches herself she crys. I thought she has fleas and I looked and looked and nothing. So I check in her ear because she keeps scratching the same ear and it looks different than the other ear. It has more gunk in it and I'm scared if it might be a ear infection. Is there anything that I can buy for it?

The best solution would be to have Luna examined by your veterinarian. A swab of the ear can be looked at in the clinic to determine if there is a bacterial or fungal infection. The type of infection will determine what medication will be dispensed. The vet can also make sure the eardrum is intact. It is never recommended to medicate the ear without knowing if the eardrum is intact. If not, medication may enter the middle ear causing further complications. You can place an e-collar (cone) on her to prevent more scratching until she sees the vet m
